1/35 Stahlunterstände mit aufgesetzten Pantherturm

:eek:ldguy These were used on the west, Italian and eastern front,
They came like this or on a wooden two story construction and encased in reinforced concrete (steel box version ) .
Panther turrets were converted into bunkers ever since late 1943.
Some were standard Panther tank turrets, and others where modified .
The modified turret roof was reinforced to 40 mm (this one )

Ammunition was stored around the turret basket.
The lower part of the box was a crew compartment with bunks, it also had a small stove , electrical generator, and powered by a small engine .

I could have kept the Panther type D turret(dragon) as it is ......but i was in the right modeling building mood so i had to remodeled the turret as well.
its done for 98 %.
Thanks for looking.

Awesome build. That looks so very cool. I think I have a spare turret somewhere, I might have to think about doing something like this. (y) (y) (y) (y) (y)
