Hi I'm new to this site, but not to modeling(~60 yrs). Served as an AH-1G Cobra crew chief a long time ago.
Some of my builds can be seen on the scalemates site. https://www.scalemates.com/profiles/mate.php?id=11909&p=albums Thanks Gary :eek:ldguy

welcome and neat work!

Was your Cobra experience VN era or later? The Cobra is one I intend to model, but it will likely be later in the year before i get to it.

Welcome aboard, Gary. Grab y'self a beer and join-in...

Yep, 69-71 3/4 Cav.

WOW! One of the models I will build around fall will be a VN era Cobra! I have been re-reading (for the ump-teenth time) HEADHUNTERS abdout the 1/9th. Now you have me curious about the 3/4 Cav....the Raiders or the Quaterhorse?

Back then we were called Centaurs. I was in D Trp. When the 25th Inf. Div. pulled out we were reassigned to the 1st Aviation Brigade and renamed F Trp. 4th Cav. while at Lai Kae. Good to meet you. Gary

Thanks!! Our unit wrote to the "Flying Tigers", to get permission to use that style of teeth. Here's a pic of the model I made about 30 yrs ago in 1/48th scale. Gary
