I am setting up this thread so I can post up things I find that could be helpful or insightful, or even save us money (so we have more to spend on kits)!

homemade static grass applicator. Electronics are not my thing, probably why I never built a model railroad, but this looks pretty easy.

A good basic series on painting and weathering. A bit too strong on the product placement- but the info is good.

I tried this once ….. thanks for posting as I can see where some of my errors were ….. esp. not getting paint around top of cap ….. I'll see if I can find photos of my work ….

:popcorn Never too old to pick up new stuff …. I just waited too long to start ….

WOW!

I just saw it now (Thanks Bob) - that is simply amazing.

I will give it a try. I was just now getting used to the acrylics but what the heck, let's shake things up a bit.

Thank you so much for this thread!

Cheers

Alex

I don't think you can work the acrylics smooth like we can the oils. I SO Want to try this on something. I could see a nice demark between Neutral Grey and OD on a US fighter or something.

I've been watching some of the videos this guy puts out.

When I changed computers, I had to find a new photo editing software. This is free and I learned much in the first ten minutes of the video about making my photos sharper. Did I mention it's free? :mpup
