We just had our IPMS show two weeks ago and didn't fare so well but had fun. Yesterday was one of my favorite local shows...they usually switch between the NY and VT sides and this year it was a 2.5 hour drive into northern Vermont. But on the plus side, I met up with some good friends, including the good doctor John Steinman...sorry but we are both camera shy so no group photos...but this section of his builds ought to be proof enough we hung out all day. He brought five...here are the three I remember- he will have to straighten me out on which ones I missed as his...

This category and the aircraft were the biggest categories, but these were the ones that stood out for me other than John's. My Lend Lease M10 won third in it's category.

Dr. Steinman won best of class and gold in this category...and deservedly so. Congratulations Doc!

I won second in trucks for my GMC 6X6 towing the wrecked SBD...
 
Figures....these weren't winners as far as I know....some weird one from The Thing won first....

It was a good show. Many of you know I'm show shy, just already won more than my fair share, time for others to step up, but Mike said he was going, so I didn't want to miss the chance to meet up and see his builds first hand. I have known Mike since the LEM days, and he has really improved! I know he did well at the show as his name was called more than most!

I won best armor and medaled for everything I brought. The only things Mike missed that is mine is the 502 Tiger 1 dio at Leningrad, pictured above, and S02 of Das Reich at Kursk, not pictured.

Guess that's it....out of six I brought, I got one 1st, one 2nd, and two 3rds....the Turtle didn't place again- I will have to tweak it so more before AMPS Nationals in 2 weeks....John did pretty well as his jiggling pockets yesterday could attest ;)
 
To my credit, I did not spend much time taking pics as I was having a much better time talking to him and the other friends I have made with the Vermont and NY guys...here is the Das Reich Tiger thanks to Chris Graeter's show photos...
