Looking for a good acrylic flat clear

Looking for a good acrylic flat clear. I found the Alclad clear aqua gloss and love it, as long as I remember to tighten the set screw for the airbrush needle. :bang head

I need a good go to idiot proof clear flat. It does need to be acrylic. After decades of silk screening with lacquers and enamels, I get powerful headaches when I use them.

Any suggestions?

Vallejo makes a matte clear that Hobby Lobby carries, it's OK.

I really prefer Testors (Model Master?) Dullcote, it's stinky and a lacquer, but it's dead flat.

I have always liked and used Tamiya. Tamiya has a flat (XF-86) already mixed if you do not want to use the base (X-21). I used to use Gunze acrylic and loved it. Since you can't get the Gunze acrylic in the US anymore, all my mixes are Tamyia (RLM, RAL, etc.). I haven't tried some of the other flats and paints for one reason. How long are they going to be around? I am probably missing out on some good paints though.

I've been using acrylic artists flat and satin clear coats of late. I usually brush it on so don't know how it will work in an airbrush.

Cheers,
Rich
