    Rudimentary paint question

Thanks for the feedback. Glad to know I'm not the only one with problems brushing it! I have a pretty nice inventory of Tamiya, so thats why I'm reluctant to switch brands. -J

    Rudimentary paint question

Lately I notice my Tamiya paints tend to clump and dry way too fast if I try to brush them. Is there a retarder you use to make them more brush friendly? I made a mess on one of my side projects, and I'd like to avoid repeating it!

The Duke's Final Aircraft for 2018

I like it! You have to give it a really weathered desert-boneyard finish to disguise any of those decal shortcomings! Lots of dirt and chips. Good on ya for getting it off the shelf of doom! Is it going on a display shelf or hanging up?

    Paasche Raptor

This seems to be a late reply (irrelevant now?). The Raptor is like the Talon, with a smaller paint cup and the smaller tip setup. I think all Talon parts interchange. Both are easy to clean and maintain. I have only sprayed ink from the Raptor. The smaller tips (.25) are a bit more fickle...

Ferguson TE-20 tractor, 1:24 HELLER kit

Where did the summer go? It's been some weeks since any significant progress happened. But, then it rained this weekend, and cold weather set in...so I goofed off...er, uhm..I mean worked on a model! Here's the progress report in pictures... The fuel petcock and filter bowl were re-made and...

    Swine!

Looking great. You need to print all this out like a technical data package, and send it with the plane, so the owner can really appreciate all the finer details!

    Ken's 1990 Lumina

WOW! Thats a lot of decal work!! Turned out very nice. One of the pictures actually looks 'in motion'... I think if it was parallel to the lines on the table... it would really look like it was moving fast.

    Firetruck

I see a trend here with RED models... the Zetor, and this! I love the look of Russian trucks... they have style and aggressive posturing. Nice job with this.

    Swine!

Your interiors are always so detailed. It's a shame they are only visible thru such tiny windows... almost criminal to cover it all up! Nice use of jiglets! I have to print this thread out and keep it with my kit, so in 100 years when I get to building it, I'll remember all these tid-bits of...

    Zetor

That is looking OUTSTANDING! The red on the tractor really makes all the effects 'POP'. Fantastic. The custom trailer with custom graphics is over the top. Keep plugging! I look forward to seeing the completed piece. :thumbsup

Ferguson TE-20 tractor, 1:24 HELLER kit

Thanks for the good feedback! Some electrical wiring was installed on the distributor and coil, as well as the starter. On a lesser note, I lost, then found and then lost again, the original and replacement fuel sediment bowl. :facepalm I need to make a new one... :bangs head...

    Meng French FT-17

Very cool! - In New York State there is an excellent place called Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome that has an American copy for the French FT... it's an M1917. A bit different than yours, but its worth a look for inspiration. I saw on Facebook they were overhauling it, so they had a few pictures of it...
