Off we go then.....i decided to start with the engine because there is a lot of cutting to do to the basic kit and i dont want to do that till i know i have succeeded with the Eduard stuff....just hedging my bets :) It took 2 hours just to separate the parts from their print frames :)...

The fighter collection at Duxford UK has one of these under restoration to fly, i think the build has stalled at the moment because of the near impossible to obtain engines. The US also had one which i think came from Aus but the US one will has US engines...

    Tamiya P38J

Thought i had better stake my claim to a space here for my Tamiya P38J 1/48 I think i might have gone a little overboard with the extras but i will give them a go :-) Eduard will need to change their Logo packaging where they cross out Brass and put Resin...

My MGB had an oil flinger and they were common on early BSA motorcycles. :) This a great build, Hi Tim, anyone can buy the accessories but scratch build is what makes the model yours. Great effort on that strap :-)

    Revell Ju88 A1 in 1/32 scale

Nice build blog paul, looking forward to seeing the progress here. Footnote/ When i was a kid in the 70's we found a JU88 in the woods about a mile from my home. It had gone in and as was often the case it had just been filled in on top with soil. It was a lone night raider shot down by a night...

    MacRobertson Air Race Line up

I used the normal micro set on the Decals i made for a car and ended up with nice white bits of carrier film stuck to it as the setting agent ate the printed ink on my home made decals :-)

    E-Type jag, Scale = big.

well i really did my best but this has beaten me. This is the rear light assembly. the one on the right is shaped and tapered to fit the recess in the body and doesnt look to bad. The one on the left is just another right had side one fitted upside down and simply doesnt fit. They did the same...

    E-Type jag, Scale = big.

No real problem Bob its just a case of stick them where you want, no mounts or markings to show where they go so just glue to the carpet...lol Cant imagine they would be much good in a crash :)

Once you lose interest in a model you are much more prepared to do things to it you would never normally do. As it happens , once you dont care anymore if you mess it up you relax and just maybe what you do might work. These are the light lenses and surrounds once prized off the hood. What a...

You are too kind Paul, i dont think i am any better than most here , i just have more spare time ;-) This evening i have prized the front headlight chrome surrounds off with the lenses and glass covers, i got most of the super glue off, cleaned the inside of the glass, chiselled away at the...
