Well I'm more in the mood of doing small scale figures, so 7 of them will be next

Him and his 6 brothers are Austrian Dragoons (1/72 Revel) fighting in the 7 years war. The 7 years war running from 1756–1763 was the first global conflict (more here, if you are interested). So in my opinion the first world war.

With this one I've just started to prepare the figure, cutting the seems and flash - it will take some time, I'm sure

That looks to be a nicely cast figure Martin. Is it 28mm or slightly larger?
yes, the casting is quite nice, but you have to cut away a alot between the legs of the horses. In its position, sitting on a horse its 27mm, so its slightly larger

So, now I declare them cleaned up

as said, I did cut away a lot between the legs of the horses and I thinned out the reins. I still have to do a new flag because in my set it was not build, there was only 2/3 of the pole. I already have replaced the pole. The stirrups are not that visible, so may be I'll do something with them too.

Those riders dont look very comftable in that last shot :)
that reminded me on an very old joke:
Its a nice sunny afternoon and a group of nuns are are on a bicycle tour. You can hear slight moans and individual soft cheers. The superoir stops and says "Ladies, if there is not immediately silence, we will screw the saddles back on" :)
