An unlikely escort

Thanks. painting on the wings is nearly complete (a bit of touch up here and there) decals on, windows in and final assembly right around the corner. I never thought I'd get this far to be honest.

Some pictures of what I'm trying to achieve, neither model seen here is finished but getting close to the checkered flag now.
I will get better pics. when they're done and my wife has remover her "work from home" computers printers scanners copiers etc. from the big table in the main room, I may need a wide angle to get everything in!
Enough excuses, here's where I am at the end of modelling tonight.

The bomber rests on a steel rod threaded into a nut secured at the C/G so as to minimize stress, the 109 is on a flat bar with aluminum rod over top to give continuity with the bomber.
Thanks for looking, nearly there now!

Those two look sensational together like that! Wow!

I'm only expressing my opinion here, but I feel the B-17 isn't chewed up enough compared to other images I've seen. Then again, you aren't finished yet so I'm too premature in saying that now.

I will say that I am beyond impressed with this massive and most phenomenal project so far and even slightly envious that you can do it and I can't! :notworthy :notworthy :notworthy
