Basics pretty much set in...floral foam!

Pretty easy.

Obtain 3 inch thick blue insulation foam (XPS expanded polystyrene foam).

Cut out basic shape. I used a Proxxon foam cutter.

Sketch out stone pattern and carve into foam with pyrograve (hot knife)

Roll surface with crumpled aluminum foil ball to impart texture.

Cut thin strips to make roof, gutter, window frame, any other raised detail

Wood texture added with stiff bristle brush.

That's it! Oh yeah glue with PVA. Others will melt it.

Excellent! Thank you.
Ok - PVA glue - I’ve struggled with this a while. Is that just basically Elmer’s glue?

I believe PVA is the yellow wood type glue. Once it is dried it doesn't react to water so much. It is also a lot stronger than the old white glue.

Little more progress. Worked on the door, down spout, cactus placement and wagon wheel. The wheel will be broken, rotted, rusty and sunk into the ground.

Working out some details. I have added a board and some farm implements to the left of the door, and I am working on building the broken and rotted wagon wheel. Thoughts, ideas?
