Iron Mike's T-34/85 Berlin Build

...great Mike!...the anti panzerfaust shields look cool!...I enjoy a lot the painting job,too...

Best!

Luiz.

Bedsprings look great Mike, definitly bang them up a little,I would even dry brush them with some metallic paint. My vote would be if no figures, leave the hatches closed.

Thank you, Luiz! I appreciate your kind words! :D

Bob, where would I be without your support?!! :notworthy

Joey, thanks for all your insight and reference material! :woohoo:

Anthony, thanks for taking time to look and comment, as you can see, I followed some of your suggestion. (y)

Bob L., I appreciate the encouragement, if I could attain a tenth of your skills! B)

Shawn, thanks, any suggestions always welcome! :)

Sorry for my absence and lack of progress pix, it's been a hectic couple weeks! Here's where I am, I toned down the rust with several dry brushed colors, moved the screen at the rear deck and dry brushed several of the horizontal surfaces.

Hey Mike, Man, I've got to get out more, did not realize this GB started and you're almost done!!

Really nice work on this one. The shields look great (y)

Looking forward to your finish....Randy

Thank you, friends! I am planning to sneak in a bit of bench time this weekend, I need to add the pin washes and some dot filters. Still plenty of time for me to :blink it up!

Hey, that's my line...Besides, it's armor, you can't muck it up! :mpup

Looks fine Mike, I really like the bed springs!

Moon Pup, I only learned it from you! B)

Thanks Laura, I'll be trying some new techniques on the weathering, so kind of nervous about that

Thank you, Bruce! I'm still on the uphill side of the learning curve! Good to have you back! :D

Thanks, guys! I think I'm in the home stretch! Trying to enhance the basic green, using dot filter of buff, light rust, blue, green and yellow oils and Humbrol thinner.

I used a damp flat brush to blend the oils, then set it aside to dry.

After this dries, I'll add some chalks and pastels to dust it up a little more.

Hi Mike,
after all that fretting it"s coming out just great. Speaking of dot filter ? Think I need a test piece so I can try it out.

Cheers, Christian B)
