Good to see you back at this one Terry. What color did you use for the green?
Looking good, Terry. I've built two of these Dusters for the Air Defense Artillery Museum when I did an internship there while assigned to the Fort Sill Warrior Transition Unit after coming back from Afghanistan, so the subject of your project is dear to my heart. When I built my first one, which was only the third armor kit I had built, it took me about six months or so and when I did the interior, the Verlinden interior did not come with the instruction sheet so I had to open the drivers compartment and lay out the pieces to figure out what went where with the kit. For my second Duster model, the Verlinden set did come with an instruction sheet. Sure made a big difference.
I start a new job at the Fort Sill Historic Landmark and Museum on Monday, 7 January, so if you need anything concerning Dusters, let me know. My office is across from the Director of the ADA Museum, and he is a good friend of mine and a fellow modeler, so access would be easy. We have several Dusters in the collection ranging from one of the prototypes through one that was one of the last in service.
Yours is looking great and I am glad you decided to work on it again.
Cheers,
James

Terry your effects on the mufflers is exactly what I was trying to accomplish with the Jap tank, good job!
Looking really good!
Terry,
The way you have weathered that is fantastic. Dark in crevices, light on raised areas, and the blending is excellent!

Looking very nice Terry . Tamiya has at least two dark greens. You must be referring to XF-61 . Very nice indeed.

Well I have learned by watching the masters, but I still look at their work in awe and think how did they do that.
Thanks Bob!
